Experts in Our Field

St. Luke’s-Elks Rehab would like to recognize two of our staff as recipients of the prestigious Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) certificate from the American Physical Therapy Association. Carrie Whitted is our most recent recipient of the OCS, joining Physical Therapist Joan Rigg in this distinction. They are now two of only 36 individuals to have received this certification in Idaho.

The OCS provides formal recognition to physical therapists who have advanced clinical knowledge in specific areas. In order to receive the specialization, Carrie and Joan had to demonstrate extensive knowledge in the field of orthopedic physical therapy through clinical experience and continuing education, and pass a rigorous exam that tests their intricate clinical knowledge of orthopedic tests, problem solving, assessment, evaluation, and treatment skills. The OCS demonstrates Carrie and Joan's expertise and commitment to exceptional patient care.

Congratulations, Carrie and Joan — two Experts in our Field!
